Mothers' Weekend
Went searching for a present for a soon to be new mother. Rather, a soon to be mother again, for another time. She's pregnant with twins and has two toddlers. Whoa.
As we looked at itty bitty clothing and all things baby the two of us reminenced about the boys when they were in their ittyer, and bittyer stage. Wow, that was a while ago and looking back I really wish that C had been there to share it with me.
It was wonderful to have their dad there through all those first couple of years. K was almost 1 when C and I began our life together. It feels like I missed out on something not being able to share in K and J s births with her. Like I was cheated out of the happiest times of my life not having the person I love the most with me durring those most life changing times.
I guess in a way that's why I'd like another child with her. We've raised two so far and having a third where we both get to be there from the begining seems right.
Then again, now that the boys are older and there is some semblance of peace in our house do we really want the whole baby disruption thing again?
